Hotel Sacher Salzburg Opened in 1866, the Sacher Salzburg is a grand, historic hotel situated on the banks of the Salzbach River in the city centre, with magnificent views of the old town of Salzburg. This privately owned luxury hotel combines timeless elegance and tradition with the highest standard of service and modern conveniences. After a major refurbishment the entire hotel was upgraded to offer state-of-the-art technology. All rooms and suites, some of which have recently been renovated, are furnished in a highly individual fashion and offer state-of-the-art facilities. Each room and suite has been personally decorated by Mrs. Elisabeth Gürtler, the hotel's owner, with a great love of details. Furnishings include original paintings, precious carpets, and silk wallpapers. All rooms at Hotel Sacher Salzburg offer air conditioning, a minibar, and bathrobes. The view of the silhouette of the old town and Hohensalzburg Fortress is truly unique. The famous Café Sacher Salzburg serves the original Sacher cake in a typical Austrian coffee house ambience with an elegant touch. The restaurant Zirbelzimmer, whose wooden panelling and elaborately carved ceilings are unique in Salzburg, is a popular meeting place for gourmets. The restaurant Roter Salon is located on the footpath along the Salzach River and offers beautiful views of the old town. You can enjoy barbecue specialities in the casual ambience of the restaurant Salzachgrill. The piano bar serves a wide range of drinks accompanied by live music.
