Best Western Hotel Elefant Set next to the Getreidegasse in the heart of the baroque Salzburg city centre, this historic hotel is dating from the 13th century and has been fully refurbished in 2010. Guests of the Best Western Hotel Elefant can enjoy the rich breakfast buffet in the on-site restaurant, which also serves Austrian cuisine and sweet local specialities. All of the individually decorated, spacious rooms of the Best Western Elefant provide a TV, a bathroom and air conditioning. Some also feature a comfortable seating area. Mozart’s birthplace and the Festival Hall can be reached within a few steps from the Hotel Elefant. Travel information

By bus lines no. 3, 5 or 6. Get off the bus at the station Rathaus. From there it is a 3-minute to walk to the hotel. By car: you are allowed to drive into the pedestrian zone to unload your car. Drive through the arch (Reichstor) at the end of the bridge "Staatsbrücke" into the pedestrian zone to the Getreidegasse, turn left and next right into the Sigmund-Haffner-Gasse for approx. 20 metres up to the hotel, where you can stop to unload. At the front desk of the hotel you will get instructions where to park your car.

Important information

Smoking is prohibited in all rooms and in the restaurant. At the Reichstor Arch at the beginning of the pedestrian zone, there is a barrier. Please press the corresponding button for the hotel on the column on the left side. You will receive a code via the intercom, which you have to enter into the barrier to be allowed to enter.
