The Strawberry Youth Hostel Salzburg offers a hotel quality at hostel prices. The building lies in a wonderful location, right next to the River Salzach. A path for travellers on bicycle and foot takes visitors to the centre along the banks of the river Salzach. The hostel offers rooms for up to 4 people. In each room there is a toilet and shower. You can also have breakfast in the hostel's restaurant (at an additional cost).

There is no curfew and no lockout as the hostel has a 24-hour reception. You can make reservations for classical concerts and sightseeing tours at the reception.

Area information
The building enjoys a great location directly on the river Salzach, enabling you to easily explore the fascinating historical sights and attractions of this stunning city. A separate road for travellers on bicycle and on foot takes visitors to the city centre, along the river bank, where you can visit the baroque Old Town, the Mirabell Palace and Gardens, the Hohensalzburg Fortress, the charming Getreidegasse and Salzburg Cathedral. You can get tickets for the famous music festivals of Salzburg at the reception.
Travel information
By car:
- Take the motorway exit "Salzburg-Mitte and go towards the centre on the Ignaz-Harrer-Strasse, straight ahead.
- At the 2nd big street, turn right into Aiglhof-Strasse, and at the first big street turn left. This is the Strubergasse.
- Go straight ahead to the end of the street to the river. The hostel is on the corner.
By train:
It takes only 10 minutes to reach the hostel. Leave Salzburg main train station towards the centre (to the left), go straight ahead to Saint-Julien-Strasse (2nd corner), turn right in the direction of the river Salzach and cross the bridge. After the bridge, turn left at Franz-Josef-Kai. Walk for 100 metres until you reach Strubergasse. The hostel is on the corner.
By plane:
You can take a taxi (approx. 15 minutes) or the bus (number 2) from the airport. Leave the bus at the bus stop "Saint-Julien-Strasse". To travel by bus takes about 30 minutes.
Important information
Towels can be borrowed for a EUR 2 and a EUR 5 deposit. We also have a fully equipped communal kitchen, laundry facilities (EUR 4 for washing and drying), a television room and a free luggage store.
